The Manager PR & Events at The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a pivotal role responsible for spearheading and executing communication strategies that encompass public relations, media engagement, partnerships, and outreach initiatives.
The incumbent will play a crucial role in enhancing TCF’s visibility, promoting its mission, and fostering meaningful connections with diverse stakeholders, both locally and on a global scale.
Strategic Communications:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with TCF’s mission, goals, and values, considering a global perspective.
- Craft compelling narratives to effectively convey TCF’s impact, programmes, and success stories across cultural contexts.
Public Relations and Media Relations:
- Establish and nurture relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers at both local and international levels.
- Build strong ties with the PR agency for press releases or other requirements.
- Respond promptly to media inquiries and coordinate media interviews and press releases, ensuring consistent messaging globally.
- Monitor global media trends and manage communication when necessary.
Digital Partnerships and Collaborations:
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with organizations, institutions, and influencers and bloggers that align with TCF’s objectives.
- Collaborate with international partners to co-create communication initiatives and expand TCF’s global outreach.
Managing Events:
- Manage and execute all events happening throughout the year.
- Build robust SOPs for events.
Crisis Communication Handling:
- Develop a crisis communication plan and protocol to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for crisis communication, ensuring transparent and consistent messaging.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
Proven experience of 4+ years in communications, media relations, public relations roles, including global exposure.
