The Manager PR & Events at The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a pivotal role responsible for spearheading and executing communication strategies that encompass public relations, media engagement, partnerships, and outreach initiatives.

The incumbent will play a crucial role in enhancing TCF’s visibility, promoting its mission, and fostering meaningful connections with diverse stakeholders, both locally and on a global scale.

Strategic Communications:

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with TCF’s mission, goals, and values, considering a global perspective.
  • Craft compelling narratives to effectively convey TCF’s impact, programmes, and success stories across cultural contexts.

Public Relations and Media Relations:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers at both local and international levels.
  • Build strong ties with the PR agency for press releases or other requirements.
  • Respond promptly to media inquiries and coordinate media interviews and press releases, ensuring consistent messaging globally.
  • Monitor global media trends and manage communication when necessary.

Digital Partnerships and Collaborations:

  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with organizations, institutions, and influencers and bloggers that align with TCF’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with international partners to co-create communication initiatives and expand TCF’s global outreach.

Managing Events:

  • Manage and execute all events happening throughout the year.
  • Build robust SOPs for events.

Crisis Communication Handling:

  • Develop a crisis communication plan and protocol to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for crisis communication, ensuring transparent and consistent messaging.

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to diverse cultural contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships globally.
  • Proficiency in digital media and social media management, considering international platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for education, social impact, and philanthropy.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

Proven experience of 4+ years in communications, media relations, public relations roles, including global exposure.
