Manager – Technology for Education

The Manager will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing suitable Ed-tech interventions for the TCF school network to ensure quality education at scale. The Ed-tech solutions will enable learning inside or outside the classroom, for students, teachers, and out-of-school students.

Research and Strategy:

  • Identify and invest in potentially fruitful collaborations with Edtech and technology solutions providers
  • Continuous research into Ed-tech solutions in international and local contexts
  • Identify specific needs in various functions of the organization where Ed-Tech can add value and propose viable and scalable (cost and resource) solutions for the TCF network

Project Implementation:

  • Design, execute and evaluate Ed-tech interventions
  • Collaborate across functions, teams and school staff in order to get subject knowledge expertise
  • Design and conduct trainings or learning workshops/boot camps
  • Provide feedback and support after solution deployment
  • Develop understanding of monitoring and evaluation tools and use them effectively to monitor project outcomes
  • Regular field visits to monitor and evaluate projects
  • Evaluate project readiness for scale
  • Create resources which aid in effective classroom practices when using technology in the classroom
  • Find and collaborate with vendors, contractual staff as and when needed to achieve project outcomes

Develop Project Teams

  • Lead and mentor project teams to effectively deliver Ed-tech programs

Stakeholder Management:

  • Prepare reports and presentations (strategy documents, project proposals, programmatic updates etc.) for internal and external stakeholders
  • Regular communication with stakeholders to keep them informed and to get continuous feedback

Required Skills

Must Have:

  • Educational Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of educational systems, pedagogical approaches, and learning methodologies, with a focus on low-income and low-resource contexts
  • Program Design: Ability to conceptualize, design, and develop technology-driven programs that address educational challenges and improve learning outcomes. Experience in creating scalable and sustainable interventions for low-income communities is highly desirable.
  • Project Management: Proficient in planning, organizing, and executing complex projects within specified timelines. Strong attention to detail, resource allocation, and budget management skills are essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Urdu) to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and community members. Ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Adaptability and flexibility to address evolving needs are vital.

Good to have:

  • Education Technology: Extensive knowledge of educational technologies, digital learning tools, and emerging trends in the Edtech field. Familiarity with various hardware and software solutions utilized in education
  • Technology Integration: Adept at integrating technology into educational settings, including designing appropriate curriculum, training teachers, and providing ongoing support.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Skilled in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems to measure the impact and effectiveness of educational technology interventions. Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting

Education

Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in Social Sciences or Education

Experience

6+ years’ experience in the field of education / education technology
